Rebranding for the investment company SKEL (Icelandic for "shell"). The project involved updating the image of the company with a new design for the logo, style, yearly report and other documents.
Uplifting a young brand and giving it a recognizable image that can be used on multiple surfaces and platforms. We wanted to be able to communicate about the company to both shareholders and employees in a simple and direct manner.
The new brand image of SKEL is simultaneously both modern and classic. The earlier logo was used as a base for the update, which uses a modern sans serif font with a clear reference to the past, present and future. The imagery refers to the name of the company (meaning "shell"), which was in turn inspired by the German scientist and artist, Ernst Haeckel.
The result is a distinctive brand image in the financial world which can be used for multiple purposes.
