Bræðurnir Ormsson (Ormsson Brothers) established their company in 1922 and it has been managed by their descendants ever since. This iconic electronics store is therefore well entrenched in the retail landscape of Iceland. Nearing its 100-year anniversary, it was time to step into a new era with a fresh look and updated branding.
The logo of the company was redesigned with the purpose of fitting alongside the premium electronic brands sold in its store. A new slogan, Create dreams at home, refers to how people can go to Ormsson and get what they need to create the home of their dreams.
We wanted to make the brand of Ormsson the main character of its story, and therefore making all the premium electronic brands on its shelves, many of them internationally known, the guest characters in all promotional material.
The new look of Ormsson is inspired by the design of the diverse range of brands sold at the store. It is a reference to the golden age of graphic design of the 1960s, but at the same time, fresh and modern.
The outcome is a vibrant and flexible brand that can be easily applied to both print and digital media.
A logo that securely encompasses the great product selection available at Ormsson.
A brand image that can easily take on challenges such as Black Friday or Singles Day.
